Thanks for a very successful 2010 Dining Out for Life!

From upscale to downhome, from Buckhead to Decatur, and Alpharetta to Grant Park, patrons at some of the area’s favorite restaurants enjoyed great food and great company as they helped raise nearly $150,000 for Open Hand during the annual Dining Out for Life event, held on Wednesday, April 21, 2010.

On that day, participating restaurants around Atlanta will generously donated 20% of food and beverage sales to Open Hand to help us fulfill our mission.

Dining Out for Life is a unique opportunity for people throughout the metro area to support Open Hand. Simply by dining out – for breakfast, lunch and/or dinner – at any of the approximately 150 participating restaurants, 20% of each diner’s bill was donated to support the community nutrition programs of Open Hand. 

Celebrating its 18th year, Dining Out for Life is Open Hand’s largest annual fundraiser. Our raffle winners for 2010 were: Anne Eiswirth, winner of the $500 giftcard from Blue MedSpa; Naomi Denison, winner of a 2-night stay at W Atlanta - Buckhead and dinner for 2 at Market; Robert Chatham, winner of a one-year health club membership and a one-year unlimited group yoga and Pilates membership to Urban Body Studios; and J. D'Amico, winner of a $500 gift card to Brooks Brothers.
