Open Hand seeks to eliminate disability and untimely death due to nutrition-sensitive chronic disease.

It's about doing the right thing.

As one of the fastest-growing metropolitan areas in the nation, our community needs Open Hand more than ever. Many of our friends and neighbors cannot afford proper nutrition, some are too sick to prepare their own meals, and thousands of others are at risk for chronic disease simply because of their diet.

Open Hand is the only community-based nonprofit organization addressing Comprehensive Nutrition Care™—healthy, home-delivered meals combined with nutrition education, counseling and therapy for homebound seniors and individuals struggling with a chronic, critical or terminal illness.

Over the past twenty years, we have grown from a grassroots organization operating from a church kitchen into one of the largest, most innovative providers of home-delivered meals in the United States. We have evolved with the community as needs have increased and as new challenges have arisen.
